A registered representative needs to be registered with SARS before you can submit any returns on SARS eFiling.
A registered representative is a person who is appointed with full rights to act on behalf of a legal entity. Companies are required to appoint a Public Officer within one month after they begin to conduct business or acquire business premises in South Africa. A Public Officer is the person responsible for attending to the tax affairs of your company.
The following documents are required for this appointment at SARS:
1. Appointment letter signed by all directors (we’ll draft the necessary document)
2. A clear copy of the registered representative’s ID document
3. A clear photo of the registered representative where they are holding their ID document and a note that reads “update my details”.
4. Proof of address of the registered representative’s residential address. This must be a municipal account or lease agreement, etc.
5. A copy of your company registration certificate (COR14.3)
6. Your personal SARS income tax numberWe can submit all documents to SARS on your behalf and register you as a company representative for only R1,250 by completing the representative application form below:-
